I was injured on the job. I was putting lap on a trailer and someone above me was routing out a window, it is so noisy that you can't hear a thing around you. they are supposed to hold onto the boards and not drop them. as you can probably imagine they didn't. the board dropped on my arm. I told my boss right away. they sent me to there doctor. he told me i was ok and put me on light duty for a week and sent me back too work. it took three months to get workmen's comp. to listen to me.
By the time i got anything done i couldn't move two of my fingers anymore and my elbow was killing me. I finally got the number to travelers. they are to provider for me here in the state of Florida. they sent me right back to the same doctor. he told my father that i didnt have a high tolerance for pain and that it was all in my head.
It took another month to see a specialist. I've since had two surgeries, one on two fingers, for trigger finger and one on my elbow, they call that alnur nerve reliece.the doctor is now saying that i need at least one if not two more surgeries on my arm.i am being told i will never do my job again. the workmen's comp. won't let the doctor do the tests he needs to do other surgeries.the longer i go without them the worse my arm gets. i don't sleep because of the pain and my home life suffers because i am cranky from lack of sleep.
I am in pain management and have a lawyer to help me get the help i need but even they can't seem to help. travelers just ignores them and won't let the doctor do his job. because Florida is a right to work state almost nothing can be done to stop any of this mess i'm in. this is my right arm i am talking about.
I am right arm dominant and if it can't be fixed i will have a very hard time doing anything int he future's went to school to drive a truck and now the doctor says I'll never do that again. hats 4000.oo dollars and 2 years down the drainable because someone was not doing there job right.
I hope this helps someone to not feel so alone. my life will never be the same and from the sounds of it unless i get some help with my arm soon i may never work again.
