Oklahoma Workers Comp Quick Facts

Is Worker's Compensation Compulsory? Yes

Are Waivers Permitted? No. However, partial waiver allowed under certain circumstances for silicosis and asbestosis.

Numerical Exceptions: None; An employer with five (5) or less total employees, all of whom are related by blood or marriage to the employer, will be exempt from the Workers' Compensation Act.

Choice of Physician: Employer makes initial choice of physician within first three days of actual knowledge of employee injury or per a Cerified Workplace Medical Plan (CWMP) (Managed Care). If emergency medical care is required or if the employer

Waiting Period For Comp Benefits After Injury: 3 days (temporary total disability.)
