Injured From Lifting Incapacitated Patients

I was injured at work because we were always short handed and expected to lift and pull on incapacitated patients.

I sustained a herniated nucleous pulposus at L5-S1.The hospital denies culpability even though I called in sick and told the staffing office I had hurt my back at work.

I sought medical treatment immediately and applied for disability benefits.

The hospital paid my medical bills for 2 years and Medicare took over but it doesn't pay for my meds and a lot of my care.

I've had surgery but I still have a lot of discomfort. I cannot sit, stand, walk or do anything that requires repetitive movement for any period of time.

The physiological implications have left me a total wreck. I feel depressed, useless and penniless.
