Compound Fracture During Construction Work

In May of 2001 I was injured on the job. Was doing cable TV construction and was unloading cable reels from a trailor. To make a long story short the trailer fell across my leg snapping it in half tearing most of the veins in my leg , tendon, muscle damage and now have a metal rod and pins in my leg. I was out of work from may 5th 2001 to feb 2002.The insurance company did pay the medical bills and I was paid for being out of work.

However one bill kept coming back to me for a large amount of money. That is now on my credit. I have lost everything I had because I couldn't pay my rent I had to move out of my house basically with no where to go. Here it is Feb 2003 and I still have not received any compensation for my injury, I think it is ridicules. And after all I have been through and losing everything the amount I will get can't even cover or make up for what I lost.

Why is that?.. I don't understand, Those of us that have been injured on the job don't ask for it to happen try to avoid it and have to put up with all of this mess. I was told I can't get anything for pain and suffering and I am guessing no one will do anything to help me get back all I have lost. Well not sure what this letter will do but, Maybe someone can explain what all the delay is about and me why I can't get anything for losing everything....
