Today I had the fifth or six hearing (I lost track) to determine the loss of usage for my Bilateral Carpal Tunnel (CTS) case. It is delayed once again and it looks as if the amount will be far less then what I was hoping for.
After having the carpal tunnel surgery I was ready to return to work. But then started having complications from a lung injury I had years ago. So I went back in the hospital and had the lung removed.
Finally after a few more months I went back to work with no limitations. It was not long before I had to again go out on disability for post chest surgery pain.
After a few more months I returned with a limitation and was told they could not accommodate my limitation and laid me off. While I was out they eliminated my job and told me to come in to pick up my tools.
At this point I am looking into filing a discrimination suit. And have returned to school full time for vocational rehab. I do not know whether to trust my lawyer they don't explain what your options are, do they really have your best interests at heart? I thought my former employer was obligated to make up the difference in pay between a new job and my old one. If I can find a new job that is!
Thanks for a great site to share with others going thru this pain and aggravation.
