Diesel Mechanic Suffers Disc Hernation At Work

I injured my back while at work as a diesel mechanic on 5-16-98. I went thru 6 weeks of therapy and returned to work into a heavy industrial job even though the doctor said he would have to operate some day.

I forced myself to work under the influence of pain killers for 14 months and finally my back gave out all together.

On 11-10-99 a lumbar laminectomy (disc removal) was performed on my back and since then my life has been day to day pain.

I have went from a very independent and active man to a person that has to depend on family to do most everything.

During the 3 plus years since my injury I have had to depend on a insurance company to support my family who are alot of the time late with checks and are now refusing me medical attention.

Their is a terrible injustice going on with workers compensation and I feel that the main reason is because people don't know about the system until they are injured, I certainly didn't.
