Back, Shoulder And Neck Injuries From Falling Load

December 3rd 2001 i was working for allied building products delivering supplies for roofers and sliders. i was on a stop when i just delivered siding. i needed to restrap the remainder of my load when i noticed the strap was stuck between two skids of product. i tried pulling on it and it wouldn't come out. i climbed onto the flat bed and pulled up on it and it came loose and i fell back loosing my balance.

I grabbed for another strap not knowing it had 6 feet of slack behind it and fell with the strap wrapped around my left wrist. i was a foot from the ground horizontally when it caught and ripped my arm out of the socket. my employer was notified via radio as soon as i got the composure to get up and tell the dispatcher on the radio. His only concern was when I'll make my next stop.

I got the rest of the load to dest on time and returned to the branch i ran from. the dispatcher asked if i was ok. i told him i was in allot of pain. he said well i got one more run and you can go home. i went on the run came back and requested if i should fill out an injury report. he said sure guess so!

I went to the emergency room was told i tore the muscles from my shoulder blade to the front of my chest. its now a year and my company has claimed i quit my job the day after the injury, and that i got the injury somewhere else not on the job. its over a year now and haven't seen any compensation. they pay for the meds i take all $600 a month worth and the monthly Dr.,s visits. I've needed surgery since the beginning but has been denied until a decision is made by the comp board on all the claims by my company are true or false.

Every night I need to take pain killers to sleep only on my right side to get any sleep at all. I've lost all my money and have lost all contact with my kids who live in NY cause I had to move to PA with my mother cause i couldn't pay for my apartment in NY anymore.

So I sit here on a mountain with no money no friends away from my kids drugged in pain with no end in sight from this daily horror called the the work comp system.
