Injured When Company Vehicle Was Rear-Ended

Was injured on the job in a company vehicle-rear ended by a driver doing 40+MPH-broke out back glass of truck with my head, tore open 10 year old surgery scar in lower stomach and crushed t-9 vertebra in back. Employer did not provide panel of doctors I did not know was required) and said it was ok to see my family doctor, so i did.

After a period of 2 weeks medication and rest he began to refer me to specialists for chronic headaches, herniated scar and persistent back pain.

Worker comp carrier had told me in initial recorded interview that they were not concerned by cost of my care or benefits, because they would recoup any losses from insurance of person who hit me this statement deleted from transcript) but they denied approval of all references and demanded I see their doctor still w/o panel per law).

This guy said I had no problems, no hernia had large bulge) advised PT and return to full duty. Got an atty.,got panel, chose doctor, after 3 1/2 months of agony, got hernia repaired(6" scar w/mesh and plug for large hole), but no remedy for back or head. W/C case manager told me they would not pay for any further care, medications - ANYTHING, and would see me returned to work heavy labor trade) and they did.

Have lost my home, personal possessions, employer refused to take me back, suffer chronic pain, have had to find and pay for my own doctor and medications, and cannot bring this thing to an end, even though I have an attorney and I have had to give up on any future remedy through this W/C carrier. It is hard when i have to abide by the laws of the land, but the insurance company can do as it pleases and their is apparently no recourse even for my attorney.

God help the person who is injured in this country-apparently as a worker you are very much expendable.
