Torn ACL After Being Pushed At Work

My story seems to be never ending. I tore my ACL April 10, 2002. I was working with my student (special needs) and one of them pushed me very aggressively and I tore my ACL. I went to the company doc. not knowing who else to go to. I live in a tiny town and there aren't any other ortho. surgeons here.

The first surgery was a flop, within 3 months I was worse than when I first got injured. The therapists where not doing what they were supposed to do, in fact they were covering up my injury and saying I was faking the pain. The doc. tried to send me back to work 2 months after the surgery, when protocol says I won't be better for at least 6-9 months!

Finally in August the doc. does a real exam. on me because I told him that the second opinion Doc. gave me a different diagnosis. He states that it is imperative that I get surgery immediately. I go in for surgery and my knee is a mess. I was placed in ICU after the surgery because the hospital messed up my epidural pump and I had an allergic reaction. What a mess.

Two weeks after this surgery, I went right back to WORSE than before. So, finally I changed doc. now I am in a wheel chair because my "good" leg has gone bad. I have put so much pressure on it for the last 8+ months that it now needs surgery. I am only 23 years old, and have a whole life ahead of me. I can't walk at all. Before this, I was into rodeo, basket ball, tennis etc. now, I am doing nothing. I have been on narcotics for the pain for over 8 months, and the pain is so severe that I pass out quite often.

TWCC has caused so much mess, because of their delays and my adjuster wants to be my doctor!
