Spinal Injury Breaking Up A Fight At School
I work for one of the largest school districts in the state of Texas. Kids fighting in cafeteria during lunch cause my injury.
A disc in my neck and my lower back was tore. Injury date April of 2000, finally had surgery approval in summer of 2001. AS of today I have not started active pt. for my back. The neck doctor is just beginning to work on.
I'm a single parent with two boys. Since my injury we have lost everything except the clothes on our back, we have been homeless and foodless. My boys grades have gone down in school. And there's nowhere to turn for help.
My MMI was done less week, and nothing have been done for pain in neck, 9 months after back surgery I still cannot puts socks on my feet, yet ins. co. said, this is it for you. Your time have ran out.
My household hasn't receive in money in 3 weeks, I cant be released for work because I can't work at this time, cant drive because of the neck injury.
As I write this I have no food for self or children, they will wear dirty clothes to school tomorrow. I have been blame for their change in behavior in and out of school. I don't know what tomorrow will hold for us.
