Workplace Shoulder Injury

I was injured on the job in January of this year. I tried to keep on working but the pain keep getting worse. I had tremendous pain in my right shoulder and tingling running down my right arm and my fingers on my right hand were numb.

Well I went to the doctor and he said that I might have carpal tunnel because of the numbness in the fingers and the pain in the right arm. He sends me to see an orthopedic doctor and he says I have a sprained elbow, treats me and send me back to work.

Well workers comp sends me a letter telling me that since I was only off work for 3 days that I could not claim any benefits and that my case would be closed.

While back at work my pain is getting worse and when I go back on my follow up appointment the doctor takes me off work and request for me to see a neurologist and workers comp takes about two months to approve his request.

I apply to reopen my claim for benefits and they open it under a sprained right elbow injury and now that the doctor that I am seeing thinks I have a ruptured disk from this same injury. Worker's comp won't approve any benefits or procedures and keep saying that this was for a sprain elbow.

My question is if you go to the doctor with a sore throat and he treats you for a cut hand don't you still have a sore throat?
