Back Injury While Working In A Nursing Home

I was working in nursing home as LPN we were short of help and working 8 hours as nurse and 8 hours as a CNA. I hurt my back, neck and shoulder. That was in June of 2001.like the rest of you I have battled with comp through it all.

I was making 10.00 an hour when hurt and am now getting 38.00 a day when always had at least 45 hours overtime on work checks I too have questioned this but they tell me that is all I am entitled to but I am getting ready to go fighting again.

I think the comp law says if you have have average of overtime you are suppose to get paid on that also. and there is no way that 38.00 is 70% of even 80.00 a day. but please believe me there is ways to fight them.

I wrote the governor and he put a stop to some of their harassment for me and I have went through the Office of Judges 2 times to keep my claim going and I have an attorney that is working on contingent basis and I also have God on my side and have put my trust in him to help me and he has.

So please all of you out there in this nightmare of workers comp don't give up use the governor and the Judges and keep fighting cause we did not ask to be hurt and I a not going to let tem make me feel like they are giving me charity that I have to beg for.
