Well it started in Jan.1990 after about 6 months on the job I fell while carrying about 50 or 75 lbs and hurt my neck and back and my legs from the knees down to my ankles turned black and I had witnesses to prove it. I never filed my claim that day and was also told I only had 24 hours (but in 1990 you still had 2 years from date of injury) but I was laid off a couple of weeks later so I never filed workers comp.
From the day I fell my neck was causing me bad headaches and my lumbar was not getting better. I started using pads in my shoes and taking pain killers for pain and after a week or so I lost my job. Some time after that I got tired of the constant pain and not knowing what to do, I went to the chiropractor and ask for help. He started treatments and my insurer paid him!
But in the doctors report it says I was hurt working on the job so my insurance provider told me to file my workers comp form, even though I was laid off They quit paying him and I filed my claim with workers comp and they denied it several times they changed things we ( witnesses and lawyer and my self) said around they said not having money to pay wouldn't stop you from seeking treatment...they said I would be better in 2 weeks ..but its 11 years latter and it never has got better.
I have no type of life now I always had labor jobs before but I honestly am unable and still don't have any medical insurance to find out any thing or to get treatment. Anyhow, workers comp replies to the hearings were total insults to me and my 3 witness and lawyer and they treated us like dogs with insults. (I have all documents to prove what I say) they acted like children that couldn't read when they replied.
In the last hearing they wanted us to come to Charleston for the last hearing and my lawyer sold me out 2 week before the hearing said he would not charge me and for me to get another lawyer if I wanted to go ..this took around 8 years to come to pass from the date I filed!
